COME HERE FOR THE...

organic coffee, all-day brunch, laptop-friendly environment, Bitches Brew Hash*.

WIFI yes   OUTLETS yes   SEATING mostly indoor   FOOD yes!   PARKING metered + street

From the sidewalk, a captivating steel and glass facade steals the show while inside, a bright turquoise La Marzocco espresso machine beckons you forward to place your order. The sheer variety of textures and materials—slabs of solid wood and marble, metal chairs and hanging pendants, stark white tile work and exposed brick—can either happily stimulate a person or feel dizzying for those who prefer a more minimalist design approach. Regardless, if you appreciate organic beans, then Groundwork is your safe haven: they've been serving the L.A. community organic coffee since 1990, and this particular Larchmont Village outpost has been tending to the daily coffee rituals of its residents since the fall of 2015.

As is the case with all Groundwork cafes, your laptops are welcome here. Central two-tops and a long communal table accommodate digital nomads with full power while those needing a charge can flock to seats along the brick wall and facade, all of which feature primo outlet access. In addition to all-day brunch from their kitchen, they also offer wholesome "grab-and-go" options. A retail wall provides features plenty of tools for the at-home brewer, including fresh beans to gift a friend or keep for yourself.

I would like to mention that Larchmont Village (an enclave of Hancock Park) is one of the city's oldest and quaintest neighborhoods. I strongly encourage you to stroll the boulevard and then wander over to the residential side—some of the most beautiful homes I've seen in Los Angeles. It's romantic.
